PTO Board

Woodland and District 196 encourages parents and the broader community to get involved and support the school with their time and talents

Significant parent, teacher, and school administrator involvement beyond the board is critical to the leadership and execution of key PTO initiatives

The Woodland PTO Board is comprised of:

    • Three selected Parents/Guardians including:
        • Two Parent Representatives
      • One Representative to the District 196 Superintendent
  • Four Selected Staff Members including:
      • Woodland School Principal
      • Two Woodland Teachers
    • One Woodland Staff Secretary/Clerk
    • One Chairperson
    • One Parent Volunteer Coordinator
    • One Treasurer
  • Five Committee Chairpersons

The responsibilities of the Woodland PTO Board include:

    • Govern the affairs of the PTO
    • Promote the goals of the PTO
    • Form financial goals for the year
    • Define the PTO budget
    • Coordinate the Woodland Elementary Terry Langager Scholarship awarded to a high school senior
    • Help build a positive relationship between the community and the school
    • Assist PTO with awareness of legislation that may have an impact on our district/school
  • Special projects as assigned by the Principal or Chairperson
